Pickering Experimental Engineering and Model Society (PEEMS)
Our first post-lockdown meeting post will be held on 7th October at the main Memorial Hall, Pickering. Start time is 1900hrs. Attendees requested to bring their own refreshments if required. There will be no formal speaker as this is a tentative social restart. Members are invited to bring any ‘lockdown projects’ to describe by way of a ‘bring and brag’. Social distancing rules will be observed.
Please note that, for the moment, the PEEMS Workshop remains closed. Notice of further meetings will be provided as the situation and feed back from our first meeting allows.
PEEMS is the home of people in the Ryedale, Scarborough and Whitby areas who are interested in model engineering and associated hobbies.
If you make models of boats, aircraft, cars locomotives etc., in metal, wood or any other material, then come and join us and share your experience and knowledge. If you are looking for a new hobby, our members have a wide range of interests and would be only too willing to help you get started.
Are you interested in learning about various engineering and related topics? We arrange speakers and demonstrations in a wide range of subjects at our monthly meetings interspersed with other functions.
We also meet once a month at our small workshop where members would help you use the equipment.
If you are interested then check on the calendar page and come along to our monthly meeting. We would be pleased to meet you.
Normally the society meets on the first Wednesday of each month – except January – in the Mill Suite at Memorial Hall, Pickering. This is just on the western side of the beck, on Potter Hill. There is free parking after 6.30pm in the Pay and Display Ropery car park.
